I’ve handled computer tech support, troubleshooting, and network design for a number of clients since 2003, all in Austin, TX. I deal with Windows, Unix, and Mac OS issues on a daily basis.

Small jobs for home and business

Small-scale work is charged at $50 an hour.

When you contact me, I give you a time estimate before I come out. When I’m on site, I remain aware of that estimate, and if adjustments need to be made, we’ll talk about them before I bill you.

I don’t charge for travel time or mileage unless you want me to go a long distance – if you’re inside Austin or its immediate suburbs, you don’t have to worry.

  • Virus and spyware removal, and future protection. This does a lot to keep a PC running fast and smooth, keep personal information safe from identity theft, and so on. I recommend that you allow me to take your machine off-site for these jobs, as I can then charge you a flat-rate instead of my hourly, on-site rate.
  • Backup and restore, and backup policy creation. Backups are *vital*, but often they’re made a bigger problem than necessary. I can craft a backup solution that fits your use and needs. I work hard to make your backups as comprehensive and painless as possible.
  • System upgrades, purchases, installation, etc. I can recommend vendors, receive equipment, set it up the way you want it (for example, installing software for your business), and drop it on to your network with no fuss on your end.
  • Off-site flat-fee work: If I take your computer off-site for a one-off job like a Windows reinstall, virus removal, installing business software, etc, I will charge you for two hours ($100) flat.

Large jobs

If you want to use me on a large project, or if you want to deal with me on a semipermanent or permanent contract basis, call me up and we’ll talk. I’m sure we can work something out.
